Heat Pumps and Heating
AstralPool Proheat II is a heat pump for large and commercial pools delivering 36–125 kW of heating and operating down to 0 °C outdoor air. It comes in Standard and Chiller versions, the latter with automatic cooling; it reaches a COP of 5.7 at 25 °C air and is fitted with a G2 titanium condenser and scroll compressor.

AstralPool Proheat II is a heat pump for large and commercial pools delivering 36–125 kW of heating and operating down to 0 °C outdoor air. It comes in Standard and Chiller versions, the latter with automatic cooling; it reaches a COP of 5.7 at 25 °C air and is fitted with a G2 titanium condenser and scroll compressor.
Proheat II is a professional heat pump offered in 5 power steps for applications with high heat demand such as hotels, residential complexes and public pools. It can operate at a minimum outdoor air temperature of 0 °C; a digital display, heating priority (filtration pump control) and automatic defrost are standard.
The Standard model heats only, while the Chiller model switches automatically to cooling when the pool water exceeds its set point, delivering 42–140 kW of cooling with an EER of 5.7–6.1 at 30 °C air and 26 °C water. This keeps water at a comfortable temperature even during summer in hot climates.
It uses a sturdy yet light casing of corrosion-resistant magnesium-coated aluminium, an axial fan, a thermostatic expansion valve with external equaliser and, especially for corrosive environments, an evaporator coil with lacquered aluminium fins on internally grooved copper tubes. The condensers with G2 titanium water exchangers are guaranteed against corrosion; HP & LP safety pressure switches, a water flow switch and automatic electrical protections safeguard the unit.
