Alaska is a compact pool water chiller suited to outdoor installation, designed to lower water temperature to the desired level in hot climates, sun-exposed outdoor pools, diving and therapy pools, or cold plunge pools. It operates at a minimum outdoor air temperature of +5 °C; an LCD display, heating priority (filtration pump control) and Modbus connection are standard.
It uses a corrosion-resistant magnesium-coated aluminium casing, helical fans with direct-coupled motors and a condenser of copper tubes with coated aluminium fins designed for corrosive environments. A scroll compressor with crankcase heater and deoxidised copper and a thermostatic expansion valve provide an efficient refrigeration cycle.
The evaporator, with a PVC shell and G2 titanium coil compliant with ASTM B338.99, is guaranteed against corrosion. A defrost thermostat on the evaporator, HP and LP safety pressure switches, a water flow switch and an anti-acid dehydration filter protect the unit. Alaska 4/6/8 have a horizontal air outlet and Alaska 10/15/17 a vertical fan outlet.
