The private swimming pool at Prestige Villa in Sile, Istanbul was completely immobilized following severe flooding in the mechanical plant room. Submerged filtration pumps, the electrical distribution panel, and automated dosing equipment suffered catastrophic failure.
Our technical inspection revealed not only direct flood damage, but also fundamental sizing deficiencies in the prior hydraulic infrastructure. The existing pump-to-filter flow ratios were mismatched, and the electrical distribution lacked modern phase-failure and residual-current safety mechanisms.
Artemis Pool fully redesigned and reconstructed the plant room: installing high-efficiency commercial filtration units, an Antech Salt Chlorine Generator with automated pH dosing, and an IP65 automation panel with thermal overload and timer controls.

Engineering Notes
Following prolonged inactivity caused by plant room flooding, the swimming pool at Prestige Villa in Sile required a complete mechanical re-engineering rather than piecemeal component replacement to ensure long-term operational resilience.

Diagnostic assessment of flood-damaged circulation pumps and wiring.
Flood waters completely submerged the electrical panel and circulation pumps, causing total insulation breakdown.
Our diagnostic team conducted Megger insulation resistance testing, hydro-tested the suction and return lines, and audited total hydraulic head loss across the circuit.
This project transformed from a routine maintenance job into a comprehensive mechanical overhaul that completely rebuilt the plant room according to modern engineering standards.

Antech Salt Ionic salt chlorine generator and automated pH dosing installation.
All damaged mechanical machinery was dismantled and the plant room was reconfigured. Based on pool volume, flow requirements, and daily bather capacity, all equipment was reselected and placed according to precise engineering calculations.
The installed Antech Salt Ionic Salt Chlorine Generator converts natural salt in the pool water into active chlorine through electrolysis, providing continuous and balanced disinfection. This drastically reduces liquid chemical chlorine usage, creating a healthier, softer, and more cost-effective pool.
An automated pH dosing module was integrated into the system to continuously monitor and adjust the water's pH value, maximizing sanitization efficiency and maintaining ideal chemical balance.
The obsolete and disorderly mechanical room was replaced with a modern, clean, safe, and easily serviceable technical infrastructure.

New electrical control panel ensuring fully automated and safe operation.
One of the most critical revisions was the complete reconstruction of the electrical control system. The obsolete panel met neither contemporary safety nor automation standards. It was replaced with a custom-engineered IP65 panel tailored to the equipment load.
The new panel incorporates motor protection circuit breakers, contactors, thermal relays, high-sensitivity residual current devices (RCD), and timer-based automation. Filtration pumps, pool illumination, and auxiliary equipment were programmed for optimized duty cycles.
Following mechanical recommissioning, the pool water underwent professional chemical conditioning, filtration cycle testing, and water balancing to achieve crystal clarity.
Completed in approximately 10 days, the Prestige Villa swimming pool was handed over to the owners with a modern plant room, automated chemical regulation, Antech salt chlorine technology, and a fully certified electrical infrastructure.
Recommissioning swimming pools after prolonged dormancy or flood events requires far more than simply replacing pool water. Mechanical pipework, filtration systems, automation infrastructure, electrical distribution, and water chemistry must all be re-engineered holistically.
Artemis Pool Systems brings obsolete and damaged pool installations back into safe, premium operation through turnkey mechanical overhauls, automated dosing units, salt chlorinators, and certified commissioning.
In plant room flooding events, electrical panels, automation systems, dosing pumps, chlorinators, and pump motors can suffer severe insulation breakdown; all components must be professionally audited and non-compliant equipment replaced.
Salt chlorine generators produce active chlorine in situ through electrolysis of natural salt, reducing chemical handling, softening water, and preventing skin/eye irritation while maintaining balanced sanitization.
Automated pH dosing keeps water constantly within the ideal pH range, ensuring maximum chlorine efficacy and long-term water clarity.
Submerged or improperly sized electrical panels present severe safety risks; systems must feature correct thermal-magnetic breakers, contactors, 30mA RCDs, and timer automation.
Depending on project scope, mechanical overhaul, automation setup, water conditioning, and commissioning typically take 7 to 15 working days; this project was completed within 10 days.
