The Zodiac Freerider™ RF series are cordless pool robots that combine patented cyclonic suction with a lithium-ion battery and are controlled with the iAquaLink™ app. The RF 5200 iQ runs in 10 × 5 m pools and the RF 5400 iQ and RF 5600 iQ in 12 × 6 m pools for 120–150 minutes, with an outdoor charging station, Tap & Lift and, on the RF 5600 iQ, a LiFi remote control.
Freerider is designed for "performance with total freedom": no cable, no clutter. Patented cyclonic suction keeps debris in suspension inside the filter to prevent clogging; helical brushes create a constant flow of debris and capture fine, light particles instead of pushing them. S-Pattern smart navigation moves back and forth across rectangular pool floors for full coverage.
The smart battery management system ensures safe, long-life charging at the outdoor charging station while also providing convenient storage for the robot (charging < 5 h). With Tap & Lift™ technology, the robot, which goes into sleep mode after its cycle, is tapped on the lid with a pool pole; it climbs the nearest wall and waits at the waterline.
The RF 5400 iQ and RF 5600 iQ offer 150/60 µ dual-stage filtration, filter lighting and a multi-day cycle via iAquaLink (2 or 3 cycles at 24/48/72-hour intervals). The RF 5600 iQ also adds Lift System and a LiFi remote control that keeps a stable link even underwater for manual guidance and recall to the waterline.
