For an industrial water-treatment application, a custom chemical degasser tank was manufactured to the project’s dimensions and process requirements for the reliable removal of carbon dioxide (CO₂) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) from system water.
With a 240 cm diameter and 300 cm height, the HDPE system provides an approximate 13.6 m³ storage volume based on its cylindrical tank body. The tank and tower components were designed together to the requested dimensions and details.
The chemical degasser tank provides counter-current contact between raw water and air to reduce corrosion risks caused by dissolved gases, including material loss, perforation, and shortened equipment life.

Custom HDPE degasser body with a 240 cm diameter and 300 cm height.
The system was custom manufactured from HDPE to meet the dimensions and details required by the chemical application.
The calculated approximate volume is 13.6 m³; this value represents only the cylindrical tank body at Ø240 cm and 300 cm height.

Upper distribution section that spreads raw water evenly within the tower.
Raw water enters the degasser tower through a distribution diffuser at its upper section.
The water trickles downward in contact with rushing rings, whose packing surface increases the area of contact between water and air.

Connection detail for the upward air flow supplied by the degasser fan.
Air supplied from the bottom to the top by the degasser fan contacts the descending raw water in counter-current flow.
During this contact, the air absorbs dissolved CO₂ and H₂S and carries those gases out of the system.
