MagnaPool® minerals are a sodium-chloride-free tablet/powder blend of magnesium chloride and potassium chloride for the patented MagnaPool® system. Supplied in 10 kg bags, they are used with Hydroxinator® iQ and Zodiac salt chlorinators for crystal-clear water and fewer chloramines.
The MagnaPool® system combines natural magnesium-based minerals with approved pool salts. During electrolysis, magnesium is converted into magnesium hydroxide, a soft clarifying compound that captures the finest contaminants in the water (2 NaCl + MgSO₄ + 4 H₂O → 2 HClO + Mg(OH)₂ + Na₂SO₄ + 2 H₂). In laboratory measurements MagnaPool® markedly slowed the rise in chloramines compared with salt electrolysis + a sand filter.
For a concentration of 4 g/L, add five 10 kg bags per 10 m³ (dosage 5 kg/m³). Existing users check the magnesium level with test strips and add minerals if it is below 150 mg/L (target 150–200 mg/L). After adding the minerals, run the filtration in forced mode for 24 hours. The product is compatible with Hydroxinator® iQ, eXO® iQ, eXO® iQ LS, eXPERT and Ei² iQ; 72 bags (720 kg) are shipped per pallet, with a minimum order of 10 bags.
