The AstralPool NORM fibreglass main drain is a high-flow drain with a fibreglass and resin body and an AISI-316L stainless steel grate. The 330 × 330 mm model handles 15–27 m³/h with Ø 75–110 mm connections and the 507 × 507 mm model 42–103 m³/h with Ø 110–200 mm connections, at 0.5 m/s suction velocity; EN 13451-1/-3 compliant.
The main drains are made of fibreglass and resin, have solvent-weld connections and AISI-316L stainless steel grates. The minimum installation depth is 1.5 m; the recommended maximum suction velocity is 0.5 m/s and the maximum flow 103 m³/h.
Connection diameter and grate size are chosen according to the circuit flow: on the 330 mm model Ø 75 mm gives 15 m³/h, Ø 90 mm 23 m³/h and Ø 110 mm 27 m³/h; on the 507 mm model from 42 m³/h at Ø 110 mm up to 103 m³/h at Ø 200 mm. This keeps the 0.5 m/s limit with a single drain in large pools.
