Chlor Expert is an automatic chlorine regulator that measures the water's redox (ORP) potential and adjusts liquid chlorine dosing proportionally. In pools up to 150 m³ it maintains the ideal chlorine level with a 0–1000 mV measuring range, a 1.5 l/h peristaltic pump and a configurable OFA overdose alarm.
For user comfort, the water's redox potential should be between 600 and 750 mV, which corresponds to roughly 1.0 mg/L free chlorine at pH 7.4 (varying with stabiliser concentration). The dosing time is adjusted automatically according to the difference between the measured ORP and the set point; for optimum results, use with pH Expert and installation with the POD kit are recommended.
For ORP regulation to work correctly, pH should be 7.0–7.6, TAC 8–15 °f (80–150 ppm CaCO₃), cyanuric acid < 30 ppm and water temperature 20–28 °C; well and rain water are not recommended. The unit comes with a 6-language LCD, semi-automatic calibration, an ORP factory setting of 650 mV, a three-level OFA alarm adjustable 0–6 hours and a level sensor with an anti-fume cap.
