Counter-Current Systems

The AstralPool jet stream pump is specially designed for counter-current systems that require a high flow rate; all parts in contact with water are AISI-316 stainless steel. It comes in five models from 1.5 kW (2 HP) single-phase to 4 kW (5.5 HP) three-phase, weighing 21–32.6 kg.
Unlike a filtration pump, the pump in a counter-current system has to deliver a very high flow at low head. The jet stream pump is designed specifically for this duty point and produces a strong, uniform current at the nozzle.
Because all parts in contact with water are made of AISI-316 stainless steel, the pump offers high corrosion resistance in chlorinated and salt water. The 3.3 kW (4.5 HP) three-phase model has IP 54 motor protection.
Together with a stainless or ABS counter-current nozzle set, a wall passage and an electro-pneumatic control panel matched to the pump rating, the pump forms a complete system.
