Freepool2 is an integrated water treatment system for public pools that combines salt electrolysis, UV and CO₂ injection. With 180 g/h chlorine output, three 90 W UV lamps and pH control by CO₂, it eliminates the need for liquid acid and chlorine and markedly reduces chloramines and make-up water consumption.
Freepool2 brings together three technologies that optimise disinfection and pH levels in a single product: a salt chlorinator operating at low salinity to disinfect the water, a UV unit that reduces combined chloramines and a CO₂ injection system that adjusts pH. Because chemicals no longer need to be transported, stored or handled, site safety increases.
Studies conducted by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Hospital Clínic de Barcelona measured a 75% reduction in airborne oxidants, a 20% reduction in chloramines in the water, a 66% reduction in make-up water and a 100% reduction in the use of diluted acid and chlorine. The system is a Fluidra Connect-compatible professional solution recommended for use with the AP PR-207 pH/Cl₂ ppm controller (60361).
